What to level next??

I’ve been wondering how quickly I could level an alt if I didn’t have any restrictions. Leveling Baby!Hestiah took some work. I was only able to play when someone wasn’t online, and with the release of D3, it also meant that I was offline with her an awful lot early on. Baby!Hestiah was created on May 13, 2012 and she hit 85 July 15, 2012. 33 days.  Not bad, but I think I can do it more quickly.

Not to mention that I didn’t think to document the leveling process with Baby!Hestiah until she was out of Outlands already. So this time, it’s going to be a multi-faceted leveling process. I’d like to see how quickly I can level a toon when I have no time restrictions, and I’d like to document the process here for others. I’ve tried writing a leveling guide, but I just can’t ever seem to get it straight. So this will be interesting.

So vote in the poll below and let me know what you’d like to see me level next. The first three choices (Shaman, Warrior, and Rogue) are the only classes that I don’t have a level 85 toon (I don’t have a Death Knight either, but that’s cheating anyway). The last three choices (Warlock, Hunter, and Paladin) I haven’t leveled in a very long time (some years).

I will do the leveling with no heirloom items, and I’ve debated on whether or not I should go with or without guild perks. You’re welcome to comment on the guild perks, but vote in the poll. Not sure if I’m going to put a cap on voting just yet, since I’m not sure when I’m going to do this (sometime soon). Get to voting!

  1. I’d say go with guild, as it’s very unlikely that people can’t get into a level 3 (?) guild with the perk. Plus no-guilds is borrrring!

  2. I voted Rogue simply because I love my “baby rouge”. It’s really nice to be able to mail locked boxes to her vs hunting someone down. ;) But seriously, do what you want!!

    • I’m pretty terrible with melee classes as a general rule (in almost all games, no lie), though I absolutely see the benefit to having a rogue on the roster of alts. :)

  3. My memory of levelling a shaman is amazing. Dual spec enhancement (for questing) and resto (for dungeons, if you plan to do any) and it’s disgusting the kinds of things you can solo! It’s actually quite a lot of fun, even if I don’t actually know HOW to play enhance. :)

    • Shaman seems to be winning with the voters at this point. I’m curious if that would have been different had I put something else in the top spot. Ha ha ha! #AlwaysForScience :P

  4. I enjoyed my shammy but deleted her at around 55! I just started another paladin myself – going to try holy spec this time from the start. Levelled my main as Ret then tanked ICC but never really got to grips with the Holy Power changes in Cata. Hoping leveling a new one in a totally diff spec will let me fall in love with my main again :) Good luck & most importantly, have fun! xx
